Strong economic participation and Development begin with strong leadership. We believe that advancement is dependent on giving people more opportunities to lead their self-determination. We offer to mentor current and future leaders in all aspects of their lives.
Most programs available are western-oriented and designed for non-Indigenous leaders. Often these programs are about providing training to an individual with no real-life support. We have referred clients to the organisations that are funded to deliver these services and the feedback is always the same, “I didn’t understand, or they talked about what I needed to do” This is great for educated people but little or no help to grassroots projects.
Our Leadership Mentoring program is about providing real-world support and training for young children through to experienced managers. Our program draws on the premise of developing the ideas of Indigenous leaders and providing them with the support needed to fully understand the steps needed to make their idea a reality. We provide them with the necessary business support needed however, they are the driver of the initiative.
The program has embedded a model of culture and leadership mindset with a focus on achieving both economic and social objectives. The program is designed to be hands-on with a minimal need for theory. This enables participants to experience results quicker and stay motivated.
